About Lychee
All About Me and My Unique Personality: Hello! My name is Lychee. I’m a gorgeous, calm little lady who is searching for her purfect family. My favourite activities are playing with toys and my siblings, sun baking, and snacking. You want to get to know me? Food should be involved, I’m open to all types of snack and I will accept bribery.
When I first came into foster care I was a pretty “spicy” kitten, I found people really scary and hissed at them for a while. But once I realised that people were safe, I started opening up, and while I’m the shyest of my siblings, I was the first one to purr, and I now love to be shown affection. I still find people coming over the top of me and trying to grab me scary, so I run for a second because my fight or flight kicks in, but then my brain reminds me it’s ok and so I don’t hide much anymore. When I want some love, I seek my foster mum out, and tell her all about my desire for a pat.
My Ideal Home: An indoor only home is an essential for me. I need a family who will give me the time I may need to feel safe in their presence. I’ll settle in quicker to a calm home.
What is Known About My Background: We don’t know anything about my history, I was dropped to the pound with my mum and siblings when we were only a week or two old.
How Do I Interact with Kids, Dogs, Cats and Other Pets: I’ve met older kids (8+) and while weary to start, I was ok with them patting me during our first meeting. I haven’t met little kids but I think they’d scare me so I’d prefer a house without young children.
I love my kitten siblings, but haven’t met any older cat friendly cats, so I don’t know how I’ll react, but with the right introduction, my foster mum thinks I’ll be ok with them.
I live with two very patient and quiet dogs, it’s a been a month and I now am happy to share the couch with them, and walk near them, but I still think they are scary when they move, I’m improving with that every day though. Dogs aren’t my best friends, but as long as the dog is calm and not very interested in me, I’ll be happy to live along side them, it’ll just take a bit of trust building to start.
