All About Me and My Unique Personality: Chippy enthusiastically enjoys playing fetch, always retrieving the ball and returning it to be thrown once more. Chippy adores the anticipation of the incoming throw, ready to charge offer it once thrown. In the case of the ball not being thrown in perceived adequate time, Chippy with scratch the ball like, with the intention of reminding you to continue the game of fetch. Fetch is a way that Chippy managed his energy in a positive way.
Chippy is extremely friendly, approaching people with enthusiasm. He happily is happy and intelligent dog. Chippy is exceptionally affectionate, adoring being scratched upon his ears and patted on his head, chest and tummy.
Chippy has incredible manners, as he sits in preparation to being fed and having his lead clipped on. Against all the excitement of incredible journeys masked behind simple walks and outing, Chippy still remains calm and content. When faced with excitement, Chippy twirls in circles, jumping and standing upon his hind legs, but will easily settle, as he finds himself happy in the presence of the people he loves.
Chippy may be small, but he is quite confident. He enjoys adventures or happy with fetch and zoomies in the yard. Chippy likes exercise and mental stimulation. He does not exhibit any behaviours of boredom e.g. digging or mischief. He does bark to let us know someone has arrived at the house but settles easily. He does not mind being in an active household where there are outings balanced by time on the lounge and cuddling.
Chippy likes going to the park (any), likes saying hello to other dogs and having a run around. When at the beach he does not venture in for a swim, but is content on the shore playing in then sand or waiting for his brother to come back from a paddle.
Chippy travels well in the car. He sits quietly on the seat. We he arrives at the destination he loves to run, explore and play.
Chippy is loyal, he has formed bonds with his foster carers, seeking them out and checking in with them,
My Ideal Home: Chippy’s ideal home would be a household with access to both inside and outside areas, with a person available to give him daily walking and attention. He enjoys being out and about, keen to go to cafes, parks, and beaches. Chippy has grown up with my brother and we are compatible. Axel and Chippy are open to the option of being relocated together, although it is not required and they are also available for being in seperate homes.
Chippy came from a family home, with an older child. He also lived with an 15yr old dog.
Chippy would be suited to a family with kids older than 8.
What is Known About My Background: Chippy and Axel were surrendered to Hunter animal rescue with the intention of them being rehoused into a home in which the new owner has the time, effort, and love they require and desire. They are young, charismatic, and loyal fellows searching for a new beginning.
Chippy and Axel originated from a household where they were blissfuly loved and well cared for. They have been trained with basic manners and commands and they have outstanding temperaments.
How Do I Interact with Kids, Dogs, Cats and Other Pets: Socially, Chippy is great with people and older children, with 11 and 12 year old children at his foster home, and with their being older children at his original home. Chippy also connects well with other dogs, enthusiastically playing and running with others of his kind. Before coming into foster care, Chippy was living with a 15 year old dog in which he interacted well with. We are unaware on how Chippy behaves in the presence of cats.
