All About Me and My Unique Personality: Cuddly, snuggly, and affectionate. Axel adores attention and companionship.
He loves a good pat and scratch on his back and adores being in the presence of people.
Axel is responsive to positive feedback, loves being doted on.
Axel often enjoys the bliss of playing fetch with his brother, the ball, majority of the time, is retrieved by his brother, but fortunately Axel jumps at the opportunity to sneak a ball return. Axel loves a good launch and pounce into the bushes. Chasing his brother and zooming around. Axel is still young, and requires adequate mental stimulation to prevent and behaviours from emerging. At present he is well behaved and settled. He has adapted into foster care. He happily sleeps in his fluffy bed on the deck during the day and comes in overnight.
Axel enjoys visiting beaches, as he is fond of swimming. Axel loves going to the park and meeting and playing with other dogs. He likes adventures and opportunity to explore different places. He looks at you for reassurance and make sure you are there right with him.
Axel is gentle with the kids, he stands nice and close for pats. He is well socialised with people.
My Ideal Home: Axel’s ideal home would be a household with access to both inside and outside areas, with a person available to give him daily walking and attention. He enjoys being out and about, keen to go to cafes, parks, and beaches. Axel has grown up with my brother and we are compatible. Axel and Chippy are open to the option of being adopted together, although it is not required and they are also available for being in seperate homes.
Axel would be fine with a family of children older that 8 years. He is very gentle.
What is Known About My Background: Chippy and Axel were surrendered to Hunter animal rescue with the intention of them being rehoused into a home in which the new owner has the time, effort, and love they require and desire. They are young, charismatic, and loyal doggies searching for a new beginning.
Chippy and Axel originated from a household where they were blissfuly loved and well cared for. They have been trained with basic manners and commands and they have outstanding temperaments for Jack Russells.
How Do I Interact with Kids, Dogs, Cats and Other Pets: Socially, Axel is great with people and older children, with 11 and 12 year old children at his foster home, and with their being older children at his original home. Axel also connects well with other dogs, enthusiastically playing and running with others of his kind. Before coming into foster care, Axel was living with a 15 year old dog in which he interacted well with. We are unaware of how Axel interacts with cats.
