All About Me and My Unique Personality: Sweet, blossoming cuddler: I am really starting to enjoy pats! They can still feel a little awkward for me at times, but I love affection enough that I come looking for it regularly.
Prefers to initiate: I like being in control of my personal space—I prefer to seek you out for attention when I'm ready, rather than having it forced on me.
Always around for company: I love being near my humans and am always hanging out close by. Lately, I've even started building up the confidence to come join you directly on the couch and bed for cozy downtime!
My Ideal Home: Because I am a specialized little soul, I’m looking for a very specific kind of forever home:
A Feline Friend Required: I would be the absolute perfect companion for another cat! If you have a lonely kitty who needs a best friend or a gentle maternal figure, I’m your girl.
Patient and understanding family: A home that respects my boundaries will help me thrive. I need humans who will let me come to them on my own terms and won't rush me when I'm feeling a little awkward.
Comfy spots to share: I’d love a home with a cozy couch or bed where I can pop over and cuddle up next to you when I feel like hanging out.
Low-pressure environment: A home that understands gentle body language will give me the reassurance I need as I keep discovering how wonderful receiving love can be.
Please note: I am on the round side and will need a human who is happy to keep me on a diet.
What is Known About My Background: Spice is a resilient survivor who spent a few years in a local shelter before moving into foster care about seven months ago. This transition to a home environment has been slow going given the years she spent at the local shelter in a very confined space.
While her past means she is still learning to fully trust humans, her journey shows great signs of progess and a bright future. I have been learning all about indoor living in foster care. Step by step, I’ve grown from a hissy, spicey kitty into a sweet, affectionate companion who actively seeks out human affection and loves lounging with my people.
How Do I Interact with Kids, Dogs, Cats and Other Pets: I'm great with other cats. I have never met a dog, but with a gentle introduction I would probably do well.
