All About Me and My Unique Personality: Fergus is an intelligent, gentle kitten with a playful streak and a love of life's quieter moments. He's curious and aware of his surroundings, with a big appetite for play, but he also knows how to relax and simply enjoy life.
He loves curling up on or beside his people and happily purrs away while receiving pats. Much of his day is spent snoozing in his favourite spots, perfectly content just enjoying being a cat. If he's allowed to sleep with you, he'll often spend the night nestled nearby until morning. He's a truly affectionate and cuddly little companion.
Due to early experience, Fergus is still a little wary of people who are standing or walking around, although he's generally comfortable once everyone is sitting or lying down. He's made wonderful progress in foster care, and we're confident that, with a little more time and patience, he'll realise that standing people are just as safe and friendly as sitting and lying ones.
My Ideal Home: Fergus is looking for a safe, loving home where he can enjoy plenty of pats, cuddles, and time with his people.
Like all kittens, he loves to play. His favourite game is chasing a wand toy, proudly carrying his "catch" back to his lair and announcing his victory with the cutest little growls.
Fergus has happily lived with another cat in foster care and has also loved spending time with our tween child, so he may do well in a family with respectful children and a friendly feline companion.
What is Known About My Background: Not much is known about Fergus's early life. The shelter believes he was born as a stray and had never lived indoors before coming into care.
Despite this uncertain start, Fergus settled into home life remarkably quickly. He quickly discovered the comforts of soft beds, cosy naps, regular meals, and human companionship, and has embraced indoor life with enthusiasm. Like many kittens who have had a rough start, he's still building confidence in a few situations, but he's made wonderful progress and continues to blossom every day.
How Do I Interact with Kids, Dogs, Cats and Other Pets: Fergus is always gentle in his interactions with both people and other cats. He doesn't play with claws or bite roughly, making him a lovely companion for respectful children and feline friends alike.
As for dogs and other pets, we haven't had the opportunity to see how Fergus responds, so we can't say for certain. As with any introduction, a slow and thoughtful approach would give him the best chance to settle in successfully.
