All About Me and My Unique Personality: Benny is an easy-going sweetheart with beautiful manners. He is polite and gentle with people, while being a boisterous and playful companion to other cats. Fairly independent but never aloof, a tummy rub is one of his favourite treats (although any real treat is a favourite too).
He loves morning snuggles in bed and spends much of the day relaxing, ideally by a window where he can keep an eye out for passing lizards or birds. Benny has a medium energy level overall, with a couple of big zoomy bursts each day. His intelligence really shines during playtime: give him a ping-pong ball and he’ll happily play fetch — complete with a polite meow to ask you to throw it — or organise his own solo soccer match around the house.
Benny is perfectly litter-trained and has excellent mealtime manners, patiently waiting to be served without yelling. He also has a beautiful voice, and his happy trills and soft, sweet meows are an absolute delight to hear.
My Ideal Home: Benny's ideal home will have some windows or doors from which he can watch the outside world. We think he could be happy in all kinds of homes: with just one loving human or a whole family, as an only cat or with other cats.
What is Known About My Background: Not much is known about Benny's background, he came to us from a pound with his twin sister Babe (since adopted) - both of them total sweethearts.
How Do I Interact with Kids, Dogs, Cats and Other Pets: Benny has been great with the children he has met — he is robust, gentle, and tolerant, and never plays with his claws. He enjoys company and interaction while remaining respectful and easy to handle.
With his current cat-housemate, Archie, Benny can sometimes be a little boisterous, occasionally insisting on a wrestle when Archie would prefer a nap. That said, he is overall relaxed and tolerant with Archie, who is a similar age to him.
Benny has not yet met any dogs, but he is a curious, playful, and low-fear cat (he will confidently and adorably take on the Roomba without hesitation). Because of this, we believe he may do well with a calm, well-mannered dog, given appropriate introductions.
