All About Me and My Unique Personality: Artie is a youthful pup, aged approximately 7 months. He is 25kgs (just making his a large breed). He loves the company of people, attention, and to be close to household activities. Likes listening to everything going on and being around the action. He is a giver, loves to show his affection by plonking his head in your lap.
Quite happy lazing on the back deck, enjoys walks around the local community.
Has a friendly gentle nature.
At times gets slightly excited but very easily calms down.
When the right conditions are there (nice big oval, soft grass and other doggy’s ready to play) the zoomies come big and clumsy. He has a playful nature, is gentle with smaller dogs.
He likes particular toys, Kongs, chewy toys, scrunchy soft toys. Fetch is work in progress.
He likes to get out and about, be part of day to day adventures, be social with people and other dogs,
Will still need ongoing training to reinforce what he has learnt so far.
My Ideal Home: Would love a nice big back yard, secured fences. He would love to be part of a family, he likes kids (the tail starts up straight away). Was previously with a family with a toddler, however given his size older kids may be more appropriate.
He would like to have daily exercise and play time with other dogs.
He would benefit from a person or family who has time to interact and continue his training.
He has been to the beach, is good for new adventures.
What is Known About My Background: I have been in the pound for a month. Prior to this I was in an environment with food scarcity and I was underweight. I am still a puppy and although I have had some adversity I love people. I enjoy my regular dinners. I am enthusiastic about food but gentle when I receive it and sit (I have good manners).
How Do I Interact with Kids, Dogs, Cats and Other Pets: I like the kids who I am foster cared by. I like saying hello and getting pats off kids and young people.
I have meet some kittens in foster care through a screen and window. Initially I was like woah, uncertain, but now on both sides curiosity has taken over and I have settled. I watch the kitten show whilst I put on a performance with my wiggly tail. I also just like to be near them.
Not tested on other pets.
