Check out the chart below. If a foster requires no additional vet trips, treatment, medications or surgeries the adoption fee covers only the cost of the standard vet work and treatments. Costs increase the longer the animal is in care due to additional parasite control.
Overall what HAR takes in as adoption fees does not cover our vet bills, as many rescues arrive in our care in poor health. This is why we hold regular fundraisers and campaigns for special needs fosters.
