All About Me and My Unique Personality: Ellie is a playful, affectionate young cat who's now growing in confidence and independence.
She had an accident that resulted in the loss of her back right leg but throughout it all, Ellie has shown nothing but love - purring through check-ups, charming her carers and adapting quickly to life on three legs.
My Ideal Home: Ellie is easy-going and would fit into just about any home where she would be loved and kept safe.
She would be fine on her own but would also love a feline friend to play with and, like all Hunter Animal Rescue cats, Ellie must be rehomed as indoor-only or with access to a safe, secure cat enclosure.
What is Known About My Background: Little Ellie came to a local vet with a badly broken leg after an accident. Sadly, her owner couldn't afford the treatment and made the heartbreaking decision to surrender her. The vet reached out to us - as we had originally rescued her as a baby - and we welcomed her back into care without hesitation.
After expert consultation and multiple vet assessments, it became clear the best option for Ellie's long-term comfort was to amputate her injured leg. Thanks to the surgery, Ellie now has a pain-free future ahead of her.
How Do I Interact with Kids, Dogs, Cats and Other Pets: Ellie gets along well with everyone.
She is fine with kids. She can grab & nibble when playing but never with hurtful intent.
She is playful with other cats and the resident dog at her foster home.
