All About Me and My Unique Personality: Lucky (formerly Chucky) is a striking and handsome red and white staffy mix with an exuberant love of life. A little reserved with new friends he certainly makes up for it once he gets to know you and comes out of his shell. He will make you a perfect loyal companion.
He loves to play fletch and has been enjoying our nightly walks.
Lucky is learning his manners and although still young he is eager to learn and can already sit, lay, shake and drop.
My Ideal Home: Lucky has been in temporary care with a wonderful family who have two young children and another staffy x dog and is now looking for his next foster placement.
Lucky has made himself part of the family and would love a home where he can be part of the family as he really loves being around his humans, especially kids.
He would also be happy as an "only dog" so long as his owner could keep him exercised and entertained, or take him along on work outings.
He has been great with the resident dog at his current home and appears to read other dog energy well.
Hunter Animal Rescue will provide his foster carer with food, toys, equipment, training support and all veterinary care, you just provide the loving safe home to care for him.
What is Known About My Background: It appears Lucky might have been the last of a litter that wasn't able to find a new home and was abandoned by his owner. He came to the attention of a local Council and was released into our care in late January 2025.
Originally described as a 4 month old pup, he is now around 6 months old, perhaps even 8 months as he seems to have slowed down in terms of growth.
How Do I Interact with Kids, Dogs, Cats and Other Pets: Lucky loves the resident dog at his foster home they have a ball playing together all day. He also adores kids, he is still a puppy so can be a bit full on for small kids as he does like to lean on them but with supervision he is the bestest boy.
Sadly Lucky does appear to have a prey drive and is not to be rehomed with cats or pocket pets.
He would make a wonderful companion and deserves his own special foster home where you will be rewarded with typical staffy love and devotion in exchange for continuing with his training and socialisation.
Lucky is desexed, vaccinated, worm and flea treated and able to be lifetime registered as nil cost.
