All About Me and My Unique Personality: Temperance had a really rough start to life (see the section about her background). As a result she rarely plays like a kitten her age normally would. She is more content to watch others play. She has only recently started to play a little so I hope that she will do more. She loves other cats and walks up to them and rubs her head against them. She enjoys a pat and purrs loudly pushing her head into your hand but she is not comfortable being held for long or being in a lap - not yet at least. She behaves like she is very shy but I'm not sure that explains her. I think she just needs someone who is patient and can earn her trust and affection. She is very small for her age so will likely always be a smaller cat.
She is a beautiful cat who had a bad start and deserves a loving forever family.
**Temperance will be attending the HAR open day at Rutherford Pet Quarters Saturday July 19 from 10am to 12. Please come and meet her.**
My Ideal Home: I think she would suit a quieter home. She may actually suit an older person as, unlike a lot of others, she would not be under their feet and risk tripping them. She is good with other cats. Has been good with my dog.
What is Known About My Background: Temperance was found wandering the streets during the recent rains. She was drenched, mal-nourished and her core body temperature was dangerously low. She was handed in to the local vet who worked miracles to keep her alive and she has now fully recovered.
How Do I Interact with Kids, Dogs, Cats and Other Pets: Interacts well with other cats though does not yet join in play with them. Good with my dog. Has not experienced young children.
