All About Me and My Unique Personality: Sticky came to his foster home with the name ‘Cobber’ but we call him ‘Sticky’ because of his quirky, inquisitive nature. He is a really funny little guy who loves playing (by himself and with his other foster cat siblings) and doing zoomies around the house.
Sticky was an incredibly timid boy in terms of human interaction when he arrived at his current foster home - but he has been growing in confidence. He enjoys pats and scratch under the chin if he is already lying down, and sleeps on his foster mum's bed every night. He does not like being approached by humans and runs away as if it is a wonderful game! He is not aggressive with humans at all, just reserved. He is able to be picked up, with reluctance, so he can be transported to the vet etc when required. Sticky would benefit from someone with time and patience to build his trust. He's extremely food motivated, so a bit of bbq chicken and some basic cat-whispering skills should have him right in no time!
Sticky's real superpower is entertaining other cats. His foster siblings all think he is a hoot and he adores playing with them and being the centre of all their fun. He would be the perfect companion for a cat who is needing feline friendship and stimulation.
My Ideal Home: Sticky would love a home where there is another cat to be his friend and where his humans will be patient and wait for him to grow his confidence in providing human affection. Due to his timid nature, Sticky won't really enjoy a noisy house with dogs or small children.
As with all HAR adoptees, Sticky can only be rehomed as an indoor cat. This helps to protect him, and our precious native wildlife.
What is Known About My Background: Sticky came from a rural shelter. Nothing further is known about him.
How Do I Interact with Kids, Dogs, Cats and Other Pets: Suitable as a companion to another cat (or cats) - probably not a good fit for households with children or other dogs.
