All About Me and My Unique Personality: I was a shy boy to begin with and needed lots of time to settle into my surroundings in order to learn to trust people. I have made huge steps. When my mum comes into the room I race up to her for pats and cuddles, wrapping myself around her legs. I even like to be picked up now. If I hear a loud noise I will run off...but happily come back once I know its safe.
As soon I am touched...my little purr motor starts.
When you come to visit me I might not come out and interact with you as confidently as I normally do, but my foster mum has a video to show you that I am brave, I just need a bit of time.
My Ideal Home: I would suit a quieter home, as mentioned I can be a bit skittish if I hear or see something for the first time, but once I've had a bit of time to suss things out, I will come out and explore. Once I'm comfortable with my people I will look for lots of attention.
A home with a couple, with older kids would be ok, or an older retired person would be amazing.
What is Known About My Background: My sister, mum and I were found in someones back shed. Us kittens had never been handled before so were terrified of everything. My mum and sister were caught first without me so I was all alone for 10 days in the scary world. Once I was reunited with my mum and sister I was very happy.
I have been in foster care for just over 3 weeks now and am making excellent progress considering my start to life.
How Do I Interact with Kids, Dogs, Cats and Other Pets: I get along well with the other foster kittens who live here - they are all different ages. There are dogs who live here but we haven't been introduced yet. I don't think I would cope with a big boisterous dog - but would adapt to a quiet or smaller dog.
I haven't met any other older cats yet - but as a kitten, I'm sure I would be fine with another cat providing it was an appropriate introduction and the older cat wasn't aggressive or chase me. I think I'd quite like some company and think a companion would help me to come out of my shell more.
As for kids, I don't think small excited children would be a good fit - but kids who are 10 years or older who can be gentle and patient would be ok. Im not at all aggressive, but will hide if unsure.
