All About Me and My Unique Personality: Dannie is the sweetest little girl with a huge personality. She looks like a teddy bear with these big sad eyes. She has settled well coming quite stressed and hyper from the pound and is showing her beautiful personality now, and it's hard not to fall in love with her. You can see she is a very switched on smart dog, she is processing everything that's happening around her very quickly and is starting to bond with her foster family.
Dannie is quite an active dog, although she is also happy to sleep near you while you are working on your computer. She is very overweight so will need to be kept on a diet until she reaches he ideal weight.
My Ideal Home: Dannie needs the best home where she is loved and is treated as a member of the family.
She needs to be an inside dog with access to a secure yard.
We are searching for a middle aged family for her that is active enough to exercise her mind and take her on regular walks and keep her active to reduce weight.
Ideally someone is going to be home most of the time (e.g. semi-retired or working from home).
If there are times where she is left at home, another small dog to keep her company would be ideal.
Not suitable for families with small kids and for older applicants (she is still very active and needs exercise and may be a trip over hazard).
Available for adoption to Newcastle and Hunter Valley area only.
What is Known About My Background: She came from a pound covered in fleas and dirt, before that she was owned by two families, one of which kept her in a garage. At the end neither family were wanting her.
How Do I Interact with Kids, Dogs, Cats and Other Pets: She is great with all creatures, no problems at all with any dogs right from the very beginning. Now that she got to know the dogs she is living with she is starting to play with them, which is really great to see that she is so playful considering her age.
She completely ignores a cat, so the cat is very chilled being next to her.
