Please understand that everyone involved in this organisation is a volunteer. We all have jobs, families and usually a home/yard full of animals that need our attention too. It may take a little time to return your call but we really do the best we can.

Hunter Animal Rescue supports responsible pet ownership. We encourage all members of the public to have their dogs and cats desexed before their first season. We look forward to the end of over breeding of companion animals and a time when there is no longer a need for us to rescue animals from the pound.
A heartfelt thankyou to the Massey family at Corlette for the amazing kitten package we recieved and for the lovely support.
Continued thankyou to both Elizabeth and Belinda for the amazing cat enclosures. Thankyou also Elizabeth for the ongoing donations of goodies for our kittens they are much appreciated.
Big thankyou to Alison and family for their ongoing support and donations.
Big thankyou to Chad and Donna for ongoing kitty litter supplies.
Rene has now weaned her kittens and she is ready for adoption- her kittens have another week in care learning socialisation skills and having all vet work completed but can be met now.
Calamity comes from a loving home where circumstances have changed and there is no longer room for her. She is very lucky to have been treated and loved through her whole life and will be looking to continue this lifestyle in around 8 weeks when she will be on the lookout for a forever home. In the meantime we will track her and her kittens development on this page.
Calamity entered care on Monday and it was agreed by her carers it was about 2 weeks until she was due for kittens... obviously Calamity has other ideas and gave birth just 48 hours later on Wednesday. Calamity has two pale ginger (champagne) and white kittens, one ginger tabby and one all black kitten, it is too soon to tell their genders or handle them yet.

Little fox is the odd one out and will be up and running around with his ginger brothers Scully, Mulder and Danny in just a couple of weeks. Their eyes and ears will begin opening next weekend, until then they rely purely on touch and scent and faith in their mum Calamity.

In 2008 alone we have rehomed over 80 cats / kittens. With this amazing response and an outstanding impact of the number of local animals euthanized in Lakehaven, Muswelbrook and Taree pounds have been achieved.
If you can help with any donation big or small please email us and let us know its for Rene and her future kittens and include your full name when depositing below.
Donations to Hunter Animal Rescue are now Tax Deductible.
