My Story:

Tanner and Tal picked up their first fur baby on April 20, 2024, and it was love at first sight—almost! Among the kittens in the room, one little guy stood out by shying away, hiding from everyone who entered. This timid kitten wasn’t always known as Tequila; his name was Tanner! Tanner (the human) couldn’t believe the coincidence and took it as a sign that this little Tanner was meant to join their family. After some convincing, he persuaded his girlfriend Tal that they should adopt him, and so their journey began.

Tequila quickly settled into his new home and became especially attached to Tal. He would follow her around, and it wasn’t long before the two were inseparable, spending every evening together. From snuggling in bed to waking up side by side, Tequila has found his perfect place in their lives.

Tequila is now deeply loved and thoroughly spoiled by his new pawrents, Tanner and Tal. His story is a beautiful reminder that sometimes, the ones who hide need us the most, and in return, they give us more love than we could ever imagine!

My Story:

Once upon a time, in the cozy confines of a human abode, there dwelled a spirited little feline named KC. With her tortoiseshell coat shimmering in the sunlight, she embarked on a grand adventure that would leave pawprints on the hearts of all who crossed her path.
In the early days of March 2024, KC was whisked away from her foster family to her new kingdom. Timid at first, she sought refuge beneath the sheltering embrace of a chair in the bedroom. But fear not, for with each passing day, our intrepid heroine emerged from her sanctuary, ready to explore the wonders of her new domain.
Ah, but what a bustling realm it was! Other creatures roamed these hallowed halls, each with their own tales to tell. The resident cat, a dashing fellow with sleek fur and mesmerizing golden eyes, regarded KC with a skeptical look. Yet, our fearless heroine forged ahead, determined to win over even the most stoic of companions.
In time, her boundless energy and infectious spirit softened the dashing cat’s heart, and they became unlikely allies in mischief and mayhem. Toys to pass her time lingered everywhere, but it was the screen door that begged for her attention—a vertical playground reaching toward the heavens. With each nimble leap and agile ascent, she felt the thrill of adventure coursing through her veins, her spirit soaring higher than ever before.
But there was one treasure that held a special place in KC’s heart: the zebra! Oh, the zebra, a magnificent structure with its inviting body serving as a playground and sanctuary for feline royalty. Many a day was spent lounging upon its plush stripes or engaging in spirited games of chase and hide-and-seek.
And so, dear reader, KC’s tale continues to unfold, with her handsome companion and partner in mayhem. For in this enchanting realm of human abode, anything is possible, and every day brings forth new delights for our intrepid heroine, KC, the tortoiseshell queen of the household!

Alfio was in foster care until July 2022 when he was formally adopted. He is now living his best life with his big brother and has lots of spots to hang out in his new home. His new Mum and Dad say that he is a very sweet boy.

My Story:

We met these beautiful brothers at PETQuarters Rutherford and adopted them on the 28 March. They are so gentle natured and cuddly. They settled in very quickly into our home. They love being cuddled and being close to us. They remain very bonded to each other. They spend their days chilling out on the lounge, in the hammock or on someone’s lap. They have very healthy appetites and love their food too. They are so gentle and loving and we can’t imagine our home without them.

My Story:

We knew straight away when we saw Aria & Shak's profile that we had to adopt them. They were shy at first and we got a scare on the 2nd day when we couldn't find Aria. She is the most shy of the two. She had wedged herself in a tiny gap behind the dryer. We were so lucky to hear her faint meow's. She was quite relieved to be found as she was quite stuck. These 9 year old beautiful souls are now adjusting to life with some other cats and dogs. Slowly we are earning their trust. We now have them coming down from their high perches to get pats and food. We are blessed to have them in our four legged family.

My Story:

Flame was a special boy whilst in care. He had ear infections when he came into HAR care. He required two courses of antibiotics. He then developed yeast in the ears. He scratched his ears until they were red raw. So we had to administer cream on the outside of his ears and well as solution in the ears. The adopter took over his care in the end and nursed him back to health. They absolutely adore him. You can see in the photos how his ears are now all mended and that he has filled out. They say he is a real character. He plays tag and pick a boo, and waits on the stool at the breakfast table to be fed. He is now one spoilt and very much loved member of the family.

My Story:

Boo was a special boy in foster care. He was so scared of everything. It took him 2 weeks before he finally came out of his hiding hole to say hello to the carer. For months he was personally groomed by the carer to slowly come out of his shell and trust humans. She knew she had to find special patient adopters for Boo. It took less time than was anticipated for Boo to come out of his shell and show us love. We are so happy to have him in our lives.

My Story:

At first Jupiter hid under the bed and only came out at night for cuddles. He was like that for 2-3 days but then he came out of his shell and made himself at home. He loves to play with toys and have fun. He loves a good cuddle and throwing kitty litter around. He is now a member of the family. Jupiter is a good fit for us and we are a good fit for him.. He sure does know how to turn on the charm. Everyone loves him.
