Hunter Animal Rescue Charter
Our Objective is to save the lives of abandoned dogs and cats and to re-home them into a new loving home, where the new parents will provide a safe, happy and loving forever home for their new addition.
Each Adoption Application will be closely assessed including property checks, we do this with no malice just a great deal of love for our animals.

Hunter Animal Rescue Adoption Agreement
1. A two week trailing or settling period commences from the date of adoption. Should you feel during this period that this animals is not suitable It can be returned to Hunter Animal Rescue and a full refund made.
2. You agree to maintain and house this animal in conditions that comply with the current Standards.
3. You abide by State law and for the safety of the animal during the above mentioned Settling in period He/she will at all times wear a collar with an identification tag attached As Set out in the Companion Animals Act.
4. You understand a member of Hunter Animal Rescue may inspect your premises to ensure the safety and security of the animal before or during the settling in period
5. You will make this animal available for Mandatory Desexing should this procedure not been carried out prior to Adoption. You will be advised of an appointment time and a Veterinary Practice to bring the animal. The animals initial fee included this procedure and therefore there will face no additional Cost.
6. Should alternate arrangements be made with Hunter Animal Rescue regarding this animals Desexing, You will ensure that a copy of the Desexing Certificate be sent to Hunter Animal Rescue so that registration can be finalized. An adult dog must be desexed within 6 weeks of adoption and Puppies no later that 6 Months of age.
7. You will take responsibility for any damage or injury caused by the animal during the above mentioned settling period. Should damage or injury occur, it is recommended you return the animal to Hunter Animal Rescue as soon as possible. After the trial period, You will be the legally responsible for the animal and it’s actions under current Local, State and Federal Law. You DO NOT become the legal owner until after the animal is registered into your name.
8. Should You decide at anytime to surrender, give away or sell this animal You must contact Hunter Animal Rescue and gain their consent.
9. You are responsible for any cost or charges incurred should the animal be picked up by local council and impounded. You must notify Hunter Animal Rescue and pay to have the animal released even if you no longer wish to keep it.
10. Should the animal require medical attention, You will contact Hunter Animal Rescue and follow the direction given. You realise that any Veterinary cost incurred WILL NOT be refunded unless the animal is presented to one of the Hunter Animal Rescue nominated Veterinary practice.
Additional Conditions
An animal adopted from Hunter Animal Rescue can not be sold or used to make any profit for the new owners of persons associated with those owners. If the Owner wishes to offer this animal to a third party they must advise Hunter Animal Rescue and gain their approval prior to any transaction.
Should after any adoption, The new owner wish to surrender the animal back to Hunter Animal Rescue They must do so with the understanding that no money can change hands. Hunter Animal Rescue may however re home the animal and any moneys raised will be directed into the rescue of future animals.
Should at anytime during or after the 2 week trial period, It be proven that an adopted animal is being mistreated or at risk, Hunter Animal Rescue may seize that animal without notice. The Animal will only be returned to the Owner after Hunter Animal Rescue considers the situation resolved and the animal faces no further treat. Should Hunter Animal Rescue feel the situation can not be resolved then they may list the animal for re homing whereby the owner will receive no moneys or refunds. |
