Hunter Animal Rescue is a not-for-profit organisation run by volunteers who dedicate their time to finding new homes for abandoned pets facing euthanasia. All animals are kept in foster carer homes, where they experience a good quality of life, and the carers get a good idea of a cat's personality and suitability for different homes.
All HAR cats and kittens are kept as strictly indoor / in enclosure pets to keep them safe from snakes, cars, dogs, fighting, hunting, straying and the harsh sun. All of our foster animals are very happy this way and we expect the same to occur in their new homes.
Ideal Home: Rahni
will need a home where she gets lots of attention. She seems fine with
children and other cats.
A bit about me: Rahni is a very friendly, affectionate young
lady. She loves to play, get patted and sleep with you on the lounge.
She is also desexed and vaccinated and ready to find a forever home.
Rahni continues to be a real sweety, loves spending time with me and getting lots of pats and cuddles.
Foster carer contact details: For more information on Rahni contact her foster carer Debra via email at debra.wilson55 at gmail dot com

Name: Sebastian
Breed: DSH - Ginger/White
Age: Approx 6 months
Sex: Male
Size: Adolescent
A bit about me: We, Sebastian and Xavier, are looking for our forever home. As you can see, we are almost identical twins and we just love each other. We love our foster home but we need to move on so our carer can help other cats and kittens like us. We are very easy to care for, we entertain each other, sleep with each other, and we like other cats and dogs too. Our hobbies include kitten soccer, cockroach hunting, box hide and seek and chasies. We are not fussy eaters, we basically eat what is put in front of us. We love cuddles and nurses and we are just getting the hang of giving kitten kisses! We guarantee we can offer you love, affection and entertainment in exchange for a loving, cat friendly environment. We come microchipped, desexed and vaccinated. Our adoption price is $180 each. We would love to stay together - we are no trouble, promise!!

Suitable For Children: Yes, I have a gentle loving nature.
Ideal Home: Any, I have an easy going personality. I like other adult cats, love people and kids and am not scared of the dog at the back door.
A bit about me: Lucy was surrendered at the pound mid March with five 2 week old babies. She has settled into motherhood beautifully and is taking excellent care of her babies. They are happy and healthy. Nothing seems to worry Lucy. She has a very easygoing,
calm personality. She is happy to share the house with other cats, children and an outside dog. There has been no protective squabbles with the other cats when they get close to her babies and no issues with children handling her not so gently at times. Lucy loves attention from people and will ask by rubbing around your legs. She loves to be patted and stroked and will fall asleep while you give her love.
Any family of any type would suit Lucy. She is so laid back for a young mummy, she is by far the easiest cat we have fostered. I don't think she would care how busy or quiet the house is - she would settle in well.
Lucy's in typical 'pound mummy' condition and is very thin. However now the babies are starting to eat real food her condition will improve and her weight will increase. Her favourite foods are chicken necks, she can eat up to 6 in a sitting! But any food will do, she is not fussy. In fact the only time she makes a noise is when there is food around. She loves to eat as much as she can... I haven't seen her full yet.
Obviously her babies still need her for a few weeks yet and she does need to get back to optimum health first, but if you would like to meet this beautiful sweet loving girl and give her a loving home she will be worth the wait.
Lucy will be available for adoption mid May.
Foster carer contact details: If you would like to meet Lucy now please call her foster mummy Amanda on 0412558291 or send an email to scottamandap at bigpond dot com

Animal Number: c12100
Name: Riley Age: Approx 8 months old Breed: DMH Sex: Male
Ideal home: Riley would fit into any home. Like all our rehomed cats, Riley must be an inside only cat, especially with him having a white nose.
A bit about me: I have just arrived into care but that hasn’t stopped me showing my personality straight away. I'm very affectionate and have fitted into my foster family easily.
Currently I'm living with a small dog and a few other cats of different ages. I love to play with anything and everyone. Watch your feet though they are my favourite toys.
I have a beautiful medium length grey and white coat, and the bushiest of tails. My coat will need to be groomed so it doesn't get knots.

A bit about me:
I'm a sweet little boy who is slowly getting use to being around
people. I usually prefer to go off and play on my own but I do have my
cute times. Probably a quieter home would suit me better. I am growing
up with older cats and small breed dog who dont worry me.

A bit about me: Ginger Ninja is an easy-going and very handsome boy. He is friendly, adaptable and copes well with being alone in the house if you work during the day. He is happy to jump on a lap for a snuggle, and gets on well with young children and other cats. He is still young and loves to play with toys and hide behind the blinds etc he is good fun! He deserves to find a loving home as he is really is a great companion cat. Ginger is also the quietest cat we have ever come across - he rarely makes a noise other than a purr!
